Event Description

We will be holding our first street-side rally on Dec. 4th at the corner of Notre Dame Blvd. and Skyway. The purpose of this rally is to increase our visibility and recruitment, as well as get our message out. We want to encourage all Chico Tea Party members to show up wearing their Chico Tea Party t-shirts with home-made signs in hand. There are several important things to consider when making your signs:
1. Lettering needs to be big and bold so that your message can be easily seen by passing cars.
2. Keep your message simple and brief, such as "Stop the Spending" or "No Government Run Healthcare."
3. Avoid personal attack messages, focus on issue oriented statements.

The success of this event depends on you. We need numbers and we need you. Come help us let Chico know that we are here.

Comment by B K Brooks on December 4, 2009 at 6:31pm: This was revitalizing- I was a little tense at first but with about one finger per 100 positive honks (over 500 honks and lots more smiles and waves even da youth drivers) I felt great. Lots of fun and even had a surprise Cynthia Van visit. Great time looked like 50% attendance from a typical meeting. A real feel good time. Those of you who stayed at work- your loss- too much fun just to see the real America re-act. Never saw a Obama sticker out of 1000's of cars- curious but my eye site is not the best.
