Dear City Council Mayor Schwab and City Council Members

It has been weeks that the Wall Street 99% Protest Movement has been able to literally hold a 24 hour a day protest at Chico’s Downtown Concrete Plaza at no cost or charges (according to Larry Wahl’s staff contact with John Rucker’s office at City Hall) and apparently in violation of various laws. The Chico City Government in a precedent setting action in allowing a politicized group backed by labor unions, the left in various shapes, forms and support groups including President Obama is allowed to freely demonstrate and push their political agenda at the Chico Downtown Concrete Plaza 24 hours a day.

From your actions we assume that this area is now open under the same terms and conditions to any group pushing a political agenda, free of charge, and at any unannounced time, including the Chico Tea Party. As you know in the past we have made arrangements, followed the rules and have been charged for the use of the Chico Downtown Concrete Plaza. Will these obligations of notice, fees and charges be waived by your august and fair minded body?

Thank for your consideration and prompt answer in this matter.
